Well friends, we're back to Monday again. It always seems to happen so fast. But I'm kind of excited because its November! Although the temps are dropping and days are getting shorter I'm looking at the bright side of things: it's the holiday season! Red cups are back, its appropriate to listen to Christmas music, and I'm so excited to spend time with friends and family in the next two months. I just love the holidays, and I'm so excited we're finally back in the thick of them.

Anyways, I shot this outfit over the weekend on the cutest little side street right by my apartment. I just love walking down this street everyday, seeing the cute little decorated stoops, and watching the leaves change. It's the little things. For this outfit I pulled out one of my favorite pairs of shoes, a pair of cognac leather oxfords I bought from Galleries Lafayette while studying abroad in Paris. Every time I slip these on I remember being so excited to score these for just 50 euro (they were originally around 300 I think), especially since I was a poor student at the time. I love paring them with navy blue for an unexpected color combination.

This little striped dress is one of my favorites for summer, but I thought it would be cute with my quilted jacket for fall, its no longer available but I linked an alternate that I love! In the summer I will throw on a jean jacket at night, but to be more seasonally appropriate I threw on my this wonderful quilted coat I got for Christmas last year from my parents. If you're looking for the perfect transitional jacket, you can't go wrong with this on. I usually size up in coats, but for Barbour they tend to run large so you probably don't need to. I got my normal size and it still has a loose fit, plenty of room for a bulky sweater to be worn underneath. I've been throwing it on almost every day, to go to work or run errands, and it keeps me plenty warm in the ~50 degree weather.

How were your weekends? What do you think of this look? Are you excited for the holidays? Have a great Monday!
