Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a nice relaxing long weekend! I enjoyed being back in Philly and ringing in the New Year at Union Transfer with friends, followed by a very lazy Friday, a relaxing Saturday in which Alex and I watched many episodes of 'Making of a Murderer' on Netflix followed by dinner and then seeing 'The Hateful Eight' Roadshow Edition on Saturday night. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? On Sunday we grabbed brunch with my parents for my dad's birthday and then relaxed as I am back in NYC for the week today (read this post in case you missed that news).

I am sharing a fun outfit for a night out today. I got these leather front pants for Christmas from my parents and they are my new go-to pants for a night out. They're so comfortable because the back part are stretch leggings, but the front are faux-leather which makes for a fun bar outfit. I paired these pants with a simple razor back camisole from J.Crew factory, it's not silk so you won't have to dry clean it after each wear (although I would love a nice silk camisole for my wardrobe, it's on my wishlist, see this post for more on that!).

I also threw on my favorite new moto jacket (also seen in this post) as it's been pretty cold outside lately! It is finally starting to feel like winter, and I'm not exactly happy about it. The wind whips through the buildings in NYC and Philly and it is not pleasant. I think I'm going to need to finally invest in a knee-length parka to get me through this winter. Any suggestions?

In order to complete my outfit I wore this fun flat calf-hair clutch, one of my favorite splurges of 2015, and my Loeffler Randall studded smoking slippers which I scored on major sale last February for about 20% of their list price. They are unfortunately no longer available, but I linked three fun alternatives above.

I'm thinking of wearing this out this weekend when we celebrate my birthday (turning the big 2-6) as it's just so easy and comfortable for a night out. It also reminds me a lot of this look which I featured back in October, expect a little edgier for a night out. What do you think?

  3. Love this! I want to try leather pants, but am afraid I won't be able to move in them aha. I like the idea that these are stretchy in the back!

  4. I love the way a bold/patterned clutch looks but I dread holding it all night. Lol. It's like heels....they look great and feel awful.

All that aside, you look very lovely. Minimal and chic :)
