Ask any of my close friends and they will tell you how much I love a good red, white, and blue outfit. Unfortunately the color scheme lends itself a little better to summer style rather than fall looks. However, I'm not going to let that stop me.
I just ordered this J. Crew skirt in navy and I cannot wait for it to arrive. I decided to build a little outfit around the skirt and create a red, white, and blue look that is seasonally appropriate. By using leather for the skirt material and pairing it with a chunky fisherman sweater, the fabrics in the outfit make the look more suited for the cooling temperature. You could also throw on a pair of black tights and swap out the sweater for a draped blouse to create a more night appropriate look.
