March Goals

march_goals_2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Can you believe it's already March? Even with it being a Leap Year I feel like 2016 is flying by. The past couple of weeks I've been doing a lot of thinking and goal setting. I've started making intentional movements to take care of myself more and broaden my horizons. I've always been a very goal-driven person so I decided that setting monthly goals, like some of my favorite bloggers Becca and Rachael do, would be a great device to ensure I am reaching my full potential.

While I will still have long-term goals in my 101 in 1001 list I do really well when I have short-term milestones to reach. Therefore I will be setting goals for myself each month and to keep myself accountable I'll be blogging at the end of each month on how well I did. So, without further ado, here are my goals for March:

ONE // Go to the gym 20 times - I've been on a fitness kick lately. With vacations now booked to L.A. in April, possibly a Vegas trip in May, and France in August I want to be in the best shape possible. That means eating cleaner, working out, and taking better care of myself overall. I'm actually trying the BBG program which involves working out 6 days a week (3 days of resistance training and 3 days of low-intensity cardio) for the first few weeks. If I stick with this program hitting this goal should be fairly easy.

TWO // Put 10% of my paycheck in savings - With all these trips coming up it's also important that I am more intentional with my spending. I want to be more frugal this month so that I can put 10% of my monthly income into savings at the end of the month.

THREE // Read two books - I'm about halfway done with  'All the Light We Cannot See' and after that I'm planning on reading 'Opening Belle' at the suggestion of two of my friends. I've heard its a pretty quick read so I'm hoping I can fit one more book in during the month. All the time traveling between NYC and Philly on Amtrak should help!

FOUR // Drink 8 glasses of water a day - Going hand and hand with working out, I want to try and up my water intake. A side goal of this is to significant lower my soda intake.

FIVE // Grow my blog - I don't want to set specific numbers on this, but I'd like to make progress with my blog and experience growth in March.

I'll be checking in at the end of the month to let you know how I did! Do you have any monthly goals? Also if you have any motivation tips I'd love to hear them!

P.S. This is also my 100th post! I just want to thank everyone who has been following along with me on this journey, whether you just found my blog today or have been with it since day 1. I hope you all have enjoyed everything so far, I can't wait to see where I go from here!
